2010 General Elections

Our Candidate for Christchurch UKIP

David Williams

Vote Williams

We live in a time when the majority of people have become fed up and thoroughly disillusioned with mainstream politics and their respective politicians. Promises made to seek election have not been kept - in fact the political classes have treated with contempt those who have elected them.

WE NEED CHANGE. Change means doing things differently and it starts with the electorate voting differently. Christchurch could be the constituency where change starts. Brown has had his day. Even staunch Tories do not trust Cameron. (That’s why I and many others left the party.) Clegg is going nowhere.

UKIP HAS A MISSION TO SAFEGUARD AND SERVE OUR NATION
WE ARE THE ONLY PARTY FOR EFFECTIVE CHANGE
WE HAVE A FULL MANIFESTO
WE ARE READY TO TAKE IT TO THE PEOPLE
A VOTE FOR UKIP IS A VOTE FOR FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY

I believe that the constituency of Christchurch can be won by UKIP but it will take much hard work on behalf of the branch and as many like minded supporters as we can find. My credentials for standing in this election are quite simple, I believe passionately in our Country and in its Sovereignty. We have been given a mandate to govern ourselves, fought for and handed down by previous generations.

I believe that our parliamentary democracy must be upheld at all costs and that the person elected has the duty to represent all constituents in a fair and open way. Personal freedom and safety are at stake, as Europe with its lust for power erodes our National heritage at an ever-increasing pace.

After attending Twynham School I studied Electrical Engineering at Bournemouth Technical College whilst working with the Southern Electricity Board. Some years later I formed my own Electrical Contracting business and later building and development company. I have travelled extensively in my role as National administrator for a National Charity meeting with governmental leaders including Presidents and Prime ministers from several countries. I have been a member of UKIP for 6 years having previously been a member of the Tory party for 40 years.

The elected MP needs to be available to the people – not aloof in an Ivory Tower. I am a local boy, having been born, educated and lived my whole life in Christchurch. I work in Christchurch (my office is in the High St) and sail in the harbour; I am a member of the sailing club and also an active member of Christchurch Priory, serving on the Parochial Church Council. I know about and understand local issues and I am well-known in the Town.

I am familiar with the workings of Westminster, having been involved there, and in Downing St., in political matters for several years. I previously campaigned for the general election in 2005, when I was the UKIP candidate in Buckingham, standing against John Bercow, who is currently the Speaker of the Commons.
